1907

More than a century
looking out over Madrid

Casa Ayala was designed in 1907 by Fernando Pérez de los Cobos, at a time when Madrid was beginning to embrace the influences of European architecture: Art Nouveau and Belgian and Viennese Modernism, adapted to the residential character of the Salamanca District.

A façade you recognise

Iron-and-glass bay windows, balconies, corbels and floral motifs run up the floors and culminate in hemispherical domes. A composition to be enjoyed from afar, yet only truly understood up close: the ironwork is handmade, piece by piece.

Architecture that carries on

In 2019, a comprehensive restoration led by E. Bardají & Asociados consolidated the building's structure and recovered its heritage features: façade, bay windows, railings and floral decoration, all crafted by hand.

On this restored structure, the interiors of the 17 residences are now taking shape. Completion is scheduled for the end of 2026.
